About Holme Ground Cottage

The comfortably furnished living room comes with open fire (free coal supplied/ included) and has access to the patio and garden.

Our kitchen has been commended by Visit England for its original slate floor, quality crockery and cookware, as well as the induction hob. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided.

Three bedrooms are available: 1 king, 1 double and 1 bedroom with bunk beds. All beds are made up for your arrival. Towels are supplied. A cot and highchair are provided.

Visiting Coniston & Exploring Cumbria

A magical setting in all seasons with walks in all directions from the door. A short ramble to the top of Holme Fell, past the tarn, affords an amazing view the length of Coniston Water. Away from it all yet only 3 miles from facilities in Coniston. The area is a haven for wildlife. Over 37 species of bird have been spotted in the garden, along with red squirrels, deer, rabbits and, of course, sheep. Holme Ground Cottage makes a perfect base for a Lakeland stay.

“The house was cosy and well equipped. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. We also really liked the location .... a range of walks in all directions from the front door. It’s a quiet and peaceful area and we would definitely like to visit again.”

“Very well equipped cottage. Beautiful walks and scenery from the doorstep. My daughter did not come with us ....she will be sorry when she sees the photos! Wonderful location which can’t be beaten it seems from other frequent visitors to Holme Ground. We will back.
