Boleyhill Farm Cottages

Summary

Boleyhill Farm is situated at the top of a private lane between Strangford Lough and the Irish Sea. The 3 cottages retain their original character and charm and they have been renovated to the highest standard. The cottages are surrounded by 30 acres of farmland. The picturesque loughside village of Greyabbey is a pleasant walk of approximately 1.5 miles and has good basic local shopping and a Post Office with an ATM machine. Greyabbey is well known for its many antique and craft shops and the ruins of the 12th century Cistercian Abbey with attached Physic Garden. The National Trust property of Mount Stewart with its world renowned gardens is approx 3 miles from the farm.

The Bolyehill Farm cottages are all provided with towels and bedding. A high chair and cot with bedding are also available. All units are centrally heated and have open fires for which wood and turf are provided. Each cottage has a TV/video recorder, radio/CD player and mobile telephone. The interiors have been finished to an exceptionally high standard. The patio areas for each cottage are supplied with furniture and each unit has a BBQ. The gardens, orchard and farmland surrounding the property are mostly available for use by visitors.

The Old Dwelling : Sleeps 4. This cottage has 2 bedrooms on the first floor - one with twin beds and one with a kingsize bed. There is a living room with open fire, a dining room opening onto a veranda and private garden, a well fitted kitchen inc dishawasher, cooker, microwave etc. Although this cottage does not have a washer or drier for clothes - both these machines are available in a separate utility room. There is a bathroom with WC and also a shower room with WC - both downstairs.

The Milking Parlour : Sleeps 5. There are 2 bedrooms - one with twin beds and one with a double bed and a single bed. The bedrooms have ensuite facilities - one with bath the other with a shower in addition to a bath. Large living area with double doors into a conservatory which leads to a patio area. Well fitted kitchen including dishwasher, cooker, microwave etc. All on a single level. Oil fired central heating and an open fire.

The Forge : Sleeps 2. This unit has one bedroom with a king size bed and a bathroom with bath and shower. Large living room with double doors leading to a conservatory which leads to steps down to a patio area. Well fitted kitchen. This is all on one level. Oil fired central heating and an open fire.

Rates : From £230 to £395 per week depending on season & cottage.
Maximum of 5 people in the largest unit.
Smoking is not permitted. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
