Fairymount Farm Cottages are a pair of self catering holiday homes situated at Ballingarry and close to Roscrea in beautiful Co.Tipperary. We are well placed for those wishing to explore everything this spectacular area has to offer.

The Old Cottage

This is over 200 years old and has been renovated to the highest standard of comfort while at the same time retaining the main features and the naturalness of its original character. Sleeping 4/6 it has two main bedrooms (1 double en-suite, 1 twin beds) and a third bedroom in the open style gallery upstairs with twin beds. There is another shower/WC/hand basin. The sitting room (with wood/turf burning open fire/stove) and kitchen are open plan. The kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc. The cottage has its own garden and patio area with table and chairs etc.

Oakwood Cottage

This is a luxurious cottage situated beside our oak wood and near our small lake, which is newly furnished. Fresh and spacious with a conservatory (again with a wonderful view!) leading onto stone built patio, barbeque area and large garden. Four bedrooms - two single and two doubles (one en suite). New kitchen with fridge, microwave, electric oven and hob, dishwasher etc. and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Television, Open fire, electric heaters and oil-fired central heating (both on meters). Bed linen and towels provided free.

Both cottages are situated a short distance apart on Fairymount Farm.

Onsite there is a small lake which is perfect for fishing.

Visiting Ballingarry & Exploring Co Tipperary

Fairymount Farm is the ideal central location to explore the Shannon Region and beyond, with its wide variety of water sports and boating. Visit the heritage town of Birr with its family run shops and country market stalls, its variety of restaurants and pubs and of course its castle and newly renovated telescope, once the largest in the world.

Visit the many other attractions such as ancient Clonmacnoise, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, the Rock of Cashel, the Slieve Bloom and Silvermine Mountains, Bunratty Castle, as well as the cities of Limerick and Galway. Local and well equipped playgrounds at Dromineer and Portumna offer the children a fun day out.
