Portsalon Cottage in Croaghross offers superb self catering accommodation, set on the shores of Lough Swilly. Our south-facing property boasts stunning views of Portsalon, Ballymastocker Bay and Knockalla Mountain. Further afield you can visit a range of excellent attractions in Co. Donegal.

Accommodation

Our beautiful house sleeps up to 7 people, great for a family or group holiday. The house enjoys a range of fantastic features, including whitewashed walls, a slate roof, pitch pine floor, smaller deep-set windows, exposed roof beams and a cast-iron stove.

You can unwind in the cosy living room after a busy day visiting a variety of attractions. Facilities include comfy seating, a TV and French windows which open onto the delightful patio area. Rustle up delicious food in the well-equipped kitchen which has a dishwasher, fridge, chest freezer, gas hob, electric oven grill, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Three wonderful bedrooms are available: one ground floor double en suite, and an upstairs room with a double and single bed, plus a further double room. On the ground floor there is a further WC and wash hand basin. All bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside there is a charming patio area with garden furniture for al fresco dining whilst savouring the sea views.

Visiting Croaghross & Exploring Co.Donegal

We are in a brilliant location for discovering all that the local area has to offer. Only a short stroll away is a pub and restaurant, whilst in Portsalon you will find two shops, two restaurants and two pubs. Relax on gorgeous Portsalon Beach or play a round at Portsalon Golf Club. This part of the country has some excellent surfing spots and Donegal’s hilly and mountain landscape is great for mountain biking. Excellent attractions to visit include:

Glenveagh National Park.
Donegal Castle.
Grianan of Aileach.
Errigal.
Lough Eske.
