Ashgrove Cottage is a 200 year old farmhouse set in the heart of a large modern dairy farm. It is surrounded by lush pastures and rolling hills. Situated in the heart of County Clare it is an ideal base from which to explore the many sights and beautiful scenery of Clare and surrounding counties.
Entrance to the house is via a private tree-lined tarmac avenue over 1km in length. It is an ideal spot to relax away from the hussle and bustle of everyday life and yet is less than 10 minutes drive from the busy market town of Ennis.
AccommodationThe house has three bedrooms with one queen size and two double beds, sleeping six. An extra person can be accommodated on the sofa. One bedroom is en suite and the main bathroom has bath and shower.
It is centrally heated and the open plan kitchen, dining , living area has a solid fuel stove for that added comfort and atmosphere. Wood is provided free of charge by the owners Seamus and Mary who live nearby in Ashgrove House. They are always available for help and advice and frequently share a glass of wine or similar with their guests. As an added bonus, WiFi (wireless internet) is available in the cottage free of charge for our guests.
The house itself has been newly refurbished to the highest standard without losing its old world charm. It is surrounded by beautiful mature lawns and is an ideal place for children to play and experience the magic of country living.
