Chester Holiday Properties are a collection of award-winning, self-catering holiday homes in Cheshire. They have been decorated and furnished to the highest of standards, ensuring all guests have a place to stay that feels like a home from home. Two of our properties; Riverside Apartment and Riverside House, are next door to each other. They are just a short walk from the centre of Chester at Saughall and can sleep up to 6 people.

About Riverside House & Riverside Apartment

Both accommodations are nestled on the banks of the river. It is possible to rent both the River House and Riverside Apartment for special occasions, sleeping up to 12 adults across the two properties. The properties are ideal for a family gathering or reunion. No stag/hen parties. Properties include:
Wi-Fi internet access.
Bed linen & towels.
DVD players.
Flat-screen TVs.

Riverside House

The River House, twice shortlisted in the national finals for self-catering accommodation of the year, sits in the middle of a world-class location. In the heart of the city, the house enjoys privileged driving access to this pedestrian area, and so benefits from peaceful nights and interesting days. Relax on the bench at the front of the house, watching the boats, the people and the wildlife on the river.  The bedrooms in Riverside House comprise of:
Master bedroom with king-size bed and en suite facilities.
Garden room with double bed.
Park room with king or twin beds (please advise when booking which set up you require).
Both the living room and the kitchen dining room are large, sociable areas, finished to an excellent standard. Except for the bathrooms, every room has a flat-screen TV.

Riverside Apartment

A luxurious first-floor apartment on the banks of the River Dee. It is beautifully presented and is in an ideal location for watching the world go by. The living, kitchen, dining room is one very large, sociable area, finished to an excellent standard. There are three bedrooms in the apartment, all of which can be made up as double or twin rooms. Please advise when booking which set up you require.
River Room with super king/twin beds.
Garden Room with super king/twin beds and en suite facilities.
Bridge Room with super king/twin beds.
There is additional space in the rooms for 2 babies in travel cots.
Entrance is via a flight of steps into a private courtyard garden which is a wonderful place to eat outdoors in the warm weather. Across the courtyard is the entrance door into a large hallway, with utility room and a flight of stairs up to the apartment

Visiting Saughall & Exploring Cheshire

Restaurants, pubs and a café are within a few minutes walk, perfect for when you don’t want to cook or simply want a place to stop for a drink. There is no need to drive around the city as everything is within easy walking distance. Take a short, 5-minute stroll into the heart of the city and enjoy the Roman ruins, the shopping in the Tudor Rows, the museums, restaurants and shops. Alternatively, take a stroll along The Meadows, opposite the River House and simply watch the world go by on the river.
Chester has great connections to North Wales, Liverpool and Manchester. The house backs on to a beautiful park with a wonderful miniature railway for children. Chester Racecourse is a 10-minute walk away, Chester Zoo, the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village are a short drive away.
