Tangaer Cottage is located just outside of Cellen near Lampeter, Ceredigion. Our splendid semi-detached self catering cottage has been sympathetically converted from a former barn. The cottage offers 5 star luxury accommodation for all seasons with attention to detail.

Tangaer Cottage

Our cottage was formerly a barn and has been renovated to a very high standard. It sleeps up to five plus a cot and we can accommodate a sixth person teenager/child in the single room if required. We provide our guests with beautifully furnished accommodation, giving attention to detail with many little extras to make your stay memorable. A welcome pack awaits your arrival with eggs from our own hens.

There is a four poster bed in the master bedroom and a balcony with breath taking views of the hills. Two further bedrooms, one twin bedded room and one single bedded room with pull out bed underneath (ideal for child/teenager). All bedding, luxury towels and hairdryers supplied.

For relaxation there is a double ended Jacuzzi bath with power shower over in the bathroom (adult bathrobes supplied).

In the lounge we have:
Two comfy leather settees and a leather chair.
Stone fireplace housing the wood burning stove, for cosy nights in.
Wide screen TV with Freeview and Digibox.
DVD player.
Hi-Fi.
iPod decking station.
Wii games console with games.
A selection of DVD’s, CD’s, books, magazines, jigsaws and games supplied for your amusement. Numerous tourist information leaflets, ordnance survey maps for your perusal and a pair of binoculars.
Free Wi-Fi broadband internet, just bring your laptop.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with an extendable wooden dining table with leather. There is a spacious utility room with drying facilities, washer/dryer, deep freeze and separate toilet. Plenty of room to dry clothes and boots if required.

Cot (bedding not supplied), highchair and stair gate available on request (no charge). Babysitting by arrangement.

Outside is a decked patio which is a great suntrap. Garden furniture and a gas barbecue is provided, providing the facilities for alfresco dining. The lawned garden has sun loungers and an area for the children to play. We also have a basket ball, swings, sandpit, slide and see-saw.

Children are welcome to help with the feeding of chickens daily and feeding of lambs during lambing time (Feb to middle of April). The local pub “The Fisher’s Arms” with restaurant serving bar type meals oozes character with wooden beams, slate floors, wood burner and even has some real ales to tempt you, is within walking distance (1.1 mile) or ask us and we’ll drive you down and pick you up.

We have sheds available to store fishing rods, bikes and trailers if required.

Visiting Cellan & Exploring Ceredigion

Cellan is set on the banks of the River Teifi and only 3 miels from Lampeter.

In Lampeter you will find:

You can walk around the University, with its fountain and lovely buildings. Tregaron Nature Reserve is nearby and we are only 16 miles to the beautiful Cardigan coastline where dolphins can be seen and you will find glorious sandy beaches, many of which have achieved European Blue and Green Flag status for the quality of their beaches. New Quay, Llangrannog, Cei Bach, Tresaith, Cwm Tudu and Penbryn beaches are all within driving distance. We also have golf nearby.
