Penffynnon Properties are a group of self catering holiday homes nestling on a gently sloping hill, in an almost secret location, in the quiet holiday village of Aberporth on Cardigan Bay. This small cluster of self contained properties enjoys a unique and special setting by the unspoilt Welsh coast. All our visitors are delighted when they first arrive at Penffynnon and find out just how close they are to the waters edge. Every one of our properties is within 200 yards of the sea.
About Penffynnon Properties
Dolphin Cottage has a gently sloping paved access from your car to the front door. There is full central heating and the house is all on one level and to meet Access Grade 2 for wheelchair users. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a microwave oven as well as an electric oven and hob, a good sized freezer and fridge, a dishwasher, and when dad is doing the washing up he can look up and see the view across Cardigan Bay.
Mor is a centrally heated, self contained semi-detached villa (the other half is Ysgol) some 250m from the top of the beach. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 6. The ground floor is completely level. Outside there is a shower with h/c water. The lounge area opens out onto a (usually) sunny patio with a couple of tables and benches, a barbeque; and good views of the sea.
Ty Broc is a substantial split level 4 bedroomed house to sleep 8. It has excellent sea views. However, because of the nature of its design it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Ysgol is a semi detached, fully equipped villa to sleep 6/7. It has just completed a major upgrade (and we are very proud of it!), and the redesign has been done with the disabled very much in mind. Adjacent to Mor and Ysgol there is a small laundry area with washing machines and a dryer; and there is space to store your beach kit.
Aberporth is a former fishing village which has a Spa Shop, a chemist, two pubs, a chippy, a Chinese and a launderette. Cardigan is seven miles away and has Tesco a (at present!), an Aldi, Boots etc and butchers and bakers. For culture there is a small flourishing cinema/theatre complex, for the inner man there are several eating places including (in the summer) a very youthful Pizza and live music scene down by the river.
