Sir John's Hill Farm Holiday Cottages Specialising in dog friendly holidays
Specialising in dog friendly holdiaysSir Johns Hill Farm is the perfect place for a relaxing and fun filled holiday with your dogs. The Farm is in one of the finest locations in West Wales and the views are truly outstanding. It is set in 10 acres and surrounded by fields and woodland, which gently drop down to the sea. It is a very private and peaceful place, well away from main roads, but it also has the advantage of being only half a mile from the township of Laugharne.
AccommodationIt is a pleasant stroll down into Laugharne, but with the Farm being at the top of a very steep hill it is definitely a more strenuous walk on the way back – a very good way of getting fit. A torch is provided in the Old Stables Cottage for those adventurous souls who want to walk back from Laugharne after dark!
The cottage has been designed with dogs and their owners in mind. Inside you will find easy to clean tiled floors. There are throw for the settees and for the beds. Two bedrooms are available: a double and a twin. Both rooms share a bathroom with a large double shower. The spacious lounge is perfect for relaxing in and the well equipped kitchen will suit all your needs. A dining/conservatory comes with a comfy seating area from where you can enjoy views across the sea towards Worms Head on the Gower.
Outside there is a large gravelled area with table and chairs which lead to an enclosed garden. The perfect place for a morning coffee and a glass or wine the evening.
The Farm is a great place for people who like to get away from it all and stay in a comfortable cottage with fantastic views. There are lovely walks direct from the Farm, beautiful dog friendly beaches nearby, and a number of dog friendly places where you can eat and drink locally. Many people who come and stay at the Farm tend to spend a lot of time just relaxing around the Farm, but there are lots of interesting local attractions for all the family to enjoy and many great places to go out for a drink, snack or meal.
Visiting Laugharne & Exploring CarmarthenshireWe are only a short walk from Laughharne. In the town you will find a number of places to eat, drink and shop. The scenery in Laugharne is glorious and you can enjoy a walk to Dylan Thomas’ boathouse or explore the grounds of Laugharne Castle. There is lots to see and do in the local area, whether your interest is in historical attractions, gardens, or theme parks. Leaflets covering all the local attractions can be found in the Old Stables Cottage, but the most popular with children are Folly Farm, Oakwood Leisure Park, which has over 40 rides and the recently opened Bluestone’s Blue Lagoon Water Park.
