Summary

We are situated within a farming community in the beautiful Gwili Valley, with panoramic views of lush green fields and woodlands. Please take a look at our gallery for a taster of some of the scenic views that you will find should you come and stay with us.

Located just three miles north of the market town of Carmarthen, the cottage is in a conveniently central position for making visits to the many attractions and places of interest in South West Wales.

The cottage was converted to a very high standard from an old stone farm building which was built in 1852. It faces onto the old part-cobbled farmyard where there is ample parking space for your car.

We have about 25 acres of farmland of which our guests are welcome to walk, as long as they abide by the country code, closing gates etc. We have only a few friendly animals just as a hobby for the now retired farmer and as an amusement for our visitors.

Dogs will be accepted, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. We love dogs but unfortunately our animals do not, guests must bring a dog bed as dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or on chairs. Please do not leave dogs alone in the cottages.

Bookings run from Saturday - Saturday, possession is from 4pm on the day of arrival to 11am on the day of departure.

The cottage has an open plan kitchen lounge and dining area, 2 bedrooms, shower room with wash hand basin and WC, and will sleep 4/5 people. The kitchen is fitted with modern units, an electric oven and hob top, with an extractor over, a refrigerator, and is fully equipped with the usual kitchen utensils.

The dining area consists of a hand-built pine corner unit and tile topped table. The lounge area is spacious and has ample comfortable seating for 4/5 people. There is an ornamental stone fireplace with an electric log effect fire for convenience, large coffee table, and colour TV. The cottage is fitted with full gas central heating, so is comfortably warm even during the cold winter months.

All rooms also have electric heaters for use in summer, there is an immersion heater for hot water use, and electric cooking for which a pound coin meter is provided. The lighting is included in the rental. The bedrooms consist of 1 double bedded room with a fitted wardrobe either side of the bed and corner dressing table, and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, (full size) a wardrobe and drawer unit. A folding bed is available for a 5th person. Duvets, covers, and pillows are provided, matching sheets and pillowcases can be hired from us at a reasonable rate, or guests may prefer to bring their own. A Cot and high chair are available on request at no extra cost. The cottage is fully cleaned and serviced between lets and it is expected that our guests will it in the same clean condition as they found it.
