The Lodge

Summary

The Lodge was built in 1860 and today serves as a self catering hideaway. It lies on Loch Fyne within the village of St Catherines. This is the Cowal peninsula of Argyll which extends into the Firth of Clyde. An ideal spot for a special occasion with views of the loch and Inveraray Castle.

About The Lodge

The Lodge is a large property accommodating up to 18 people in 4 double bedrooms, 2 twins a quad bedroom.

A spacious living room comes with a coal fire and stunning views of the loch. The well appointed kitchen has an Aga which is ideal for cooking for large groups. A separate dining room is available for 16 people. There is a breakfast room which gets the sun.

Three bathrooms all have roll top baths and two have showers and one walk in shower room.

Outside is a log cabin which is used as a games room. It comes complete with a TV, pool table, air hockey, darts, board games, DVD's and CDs.

Adjacent to the lodge is a woodland which has SSSI status ideal for walking and wildlife watching.

Visiting St Catherines & Exploring Argyll

St Catherines is on the east shore of Loch Fyne. This is a popular area for fishing and diving. An internationally famous Oyster Restaurant is 7 miles away as well as a gourmet shop and smoke house.

The Cowal Peninsula is a beautiful place ideal for walking, golfing, swimming, boating and wildlife watching.

Argyll and the isles offers plenty to explore with its hills, beaches, lochs, forests and islands. There is delicious food, fine whisky and a host of attractions including:

Fingal's Cave.
Staffa.
Iona Abbey.
Inverary Castle.
Benmore Gardens.
Loch Lomond.
