Visiting Hermon & Exploring Anglesey

The Malltraeth Estuary is nearby; great for bird watching. The estuary is on the edge of Newborough Forest with its woodland walks, picnic areas and feeding stations for the recently re-introduced red squirrels. Beyond the Forest is the excellent Newborough Beach, one of the best in Wales, and Llanddwyn Island, with its pilot's cottages and lighthouse.
A short distance from the cottage is Aberffraw Common, a large, wide-open expanse of grassland where you, your dogs and children can enjoy great walks in freedom.

If more organised attractions appeal to you, there several in this corner of Anglesey. Foel Farm, a working farm that welcomes visitors, the Sea Zoo, Pili Palas (butterflies, birds, and small animals) Tacla Taid (vintage vehicles etc.) Plas Newydd (N.T.) to name but a few, with many more a little further afield.

The Snowdonia National Park, a short drive onto the mainland, attracts nature lovers from all over the world. The scenery is magnificent and there are many walks of various fitness levels throughout or pleasant drives through the passes.

Croeso is a roomy, comfortable dormer bungalow, which comes highly recommended by many people who have stayed there, as our Visitors Book will confirm.

The rental includes all bed linen, electricity charges up to 25 per week and an initial supply of coal for the sitting-room fire.
