Buttermere Cottage in Banff offers cosy self catering accommodation, perfect for a magical getaway. We are nestled near the coast in gorgeous Aberdeenshire, making us the perfect base for exploring the area.
AccommodationOur charming 4-star rated cottage offers everything you need for a special getaway in the tranquil setting. The cottage is luxuriously furnished and has been beautifully renovated whilst still retaining its original character.
Inside our fabulous cottage is a comfy lounge which is furnished in a contemporary style, offering a great place to relax after a day sightseeing. Excellent facilities for entertainment include a selection of DVDs, books, games and a new 43’’ Ultra smart TV with Free Sat, plus a Sony blue ray DVD player.
Rustle up some delicious home-cooked meals in the fully-equipped kitchen which enjoys a home-from-home feel. Appliances include an electric hob and fan oven, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer, as well as plenty of crockery. Savour some lovely meals around the dining table which seats 4 but can be extended.
Two ultra-comfortable bedrooms are available. Bedroom 1 comes with a sumptuous king-size bed, deep pocket sprung mattress and memory foam topper for a restful night’s sleep. The room includes a lavish en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 is on the lower ground floor and includes a wonderful king-size bed and a shower room. Fantastic features include soft velour curtains, luxury cushions and low lighting. Both rooms boast quality linen and duck & down duvets.
Outside there is a delightful, secure garden including a patio area with seating, great for a morning coffee whilst admiring your surroundings.
Visiting Banff & Exploring AberdeenshireBanff is a historic town on the north coast of Aberdeenshire, offering something for everyone, including an abundance of golf courses in the area. The town is home to the former royal Banff Castle and a museum. The town has lots of amazing architecture and an outstanding marina to stroll around. Great attractions to visit include:

Rates: From £380 to £798 per week depending on season.
£114 per night May – August, minimum 7 night stays.
£95 per night in low season, minimum 4 night stays out of peak season.
The departure day is Friday for weekly bookings.
All returning guests receive 10% discount on the weekly price.
Children are welcome.
Pets are welcome by arrangement. We accept 1 or 2 small based dogs if they toilet trained. £30 per dog per stay. Please note dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms unless you bring your own bed linen. Please also clean up after your dog has been in the garden.
