For those who love spending time in the great outdoors, Pitmedden is an ideal base. There are numerous places to walk that are close to the holiday home, several of which start for the front door of the cottage. The Formartine & Buchan long distance trail is a few miles away, where you can walk or cycle, and there are plenty of beautiful beaches to enjoy. There are also a range of good eating out options, and a well-stocked local store if you choose to eat in. You can cycle from the door, from the cycle path a few miles away or on some of the on-road cycle routes. If you plan to cycle, we recommend you bring a fluorescent top with you and it goes without saying a cycle helmet! We’re happy to let you store your bikes in our garage.
