About The Mill Of Tilquhillie
A well appointed holiday cottage that is set over 2 floors, the open plan design makes this a truly unique place to stay. Upstairs there is a well equipped galleried kitchen overlooking the main living area with wood burning stove. The stairs leading down from the door take you into the main living area. This is a light and spacious room that has 2 comfy sofas, Wi-Fi access, Freeview TV and a DVD player. A selection of DVD’s and CD’s are available for you to use during your stay. The main bedroom arrangements may be adapted to suit; either a twin bedded layout or joined together to provide a king size double. The second bedroom opens off the rear of the main living room. This room was originally where the fire was set to toast the grain in the mill. As a result of this, the room is in fact in the style of an upside down pyramid of granite. Inspired by the interiors of boats, the owners have built one full sized bed into either side of the room, both about four feet off the ground with three steps up to each bed. This small but unique and delightful room has been adored by children and adults alike.
The holiday home benefits from having a newly renovated shower room.
Outside of the holiday cottage is a beautiful garden area, the property is set within the garden of the owner’s house however guests also have their own small enclosed garden to enjoy. There is lots of open water onsite so we ask that young children are closely supervised.
