There are many cycling and walking trails, and there are numerous golf courses within an hour's drive. This apartment overlooks the River Dee and is on the ground floor where the rear door leads out to a garden area right beside the river.

Accommodation

The apartment sleeps four. We provide a welcome pack.

There is a master bedroom with a king bed including an en suite shower, a second twin-bedded room and a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge. A bathroom has a shower over the bath.

The fitted kitchen includes an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Unwind the lounge where there is a Freeview smart TV with Netflix. The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area looks onto the garden with a view of the River Dee, the Ballater bridge and the hills beyond.

Visiting Ballater & Exploring Aberdeenshire

Nestled in the Eastern foothills of the Cairngorms on the banks of the Dee some 43 miles West of Aberdeen, Ballater is an attractive village with many fine Victorian houses and an excellent selection of quality shops and restaurants. Many of the local shops bear the Royal Warrant of the Queen or the Prince of Wales, testifying to Ballater’s long-standing royal associations.

There is plenty to see and do in and around the village. You can head for Balmoral Castle, or cross the Royal Bridge that spans the Dee outside your holiday apartment and make your way up Glen Muick to the foot of majestic Lochnagar. Many events are held during the course of the year, including the Walking Festival in May and the Ballater Highland Games in August. The latter is the centrepiece of Victoria Week. On the edge of the village, you will find the Craigendarroch Hilton with its luxury leisure complex open to day visitors including use of their swimming pool, while for the outdoor type Ballater is an ideal centre all year round.
