Located in the village of Clunton, within the heart of Shropshire’s Clun Valley, the lodge enjoys a setting of exceptional natural beauty in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Finished to a high standard throughout, it offers bright, modern and spacious accommodation, with its riverside position creating a tranquil retreat just a short distance from the historic town of Clun.
Ash Lodge features a bright, double-aspect lounge with stunning views along the River Clun and across the surrounding fields to the wooded hills. Two leather sofas provide the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the scenery, or settle in front of the television. The lodge has two generously sized bedrooms: one with a luxury king-size bed and the other with twin single beds, all fitted with high-quality sprung mattresses. The main bedroom connects to a large bathroom, which also has separate access from the hall. Outside, a spacious decking area wraps around the side and rear of the lodge, offering an ideal setting for dining by the river, lounging on comfortable patio furniture, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the late evening sun. The riverside setting attracts a variety of wildlife and guests have often spotted woodpeckers, herons, geese, ducks, and guinea fowl, with some even lucky enough to see an otter.
Just a 10-minute stroll away The Crown Inn, serves delicious meals and a hearty Sunday roast. You can also enjoy some local ales. Only a 5-minute drive away is Clun, home to lots of pubs, shops and tea shops. You can also visit the ruins of Clun Castle and the 15th Century pack horse bridge.
