Culzean House offers self catering accommodation that is conveniently situated at the Gateway to the Scottish Highlands and within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, in the village of Ardentinny just outside Dunoon. Our holiday home can sleep up to 14 people and is a great place to stay for famies and friends who want to get together.
Accommodation:On the top floor of the holiday accommodation we have two light and airy double bedrooms, with generous proportions. On the first floor we have two elegant double bedrooms both with modern & sophisticated en suites, a further double bedroom to the rear, a children’s bunk room and a modern designer bathroom. A seventh twin bedroom is situated on the ground floor, complete with its own en suite shower room. Each of the bedrooms has been furnished to a very high standard, giving a refined and modern country feel whilst bathrooms and en-suites include centrally heated chrome towel rails and power-showers. Whether you choose a self catering stay or an exclusive use holiday, all towels and linens are provided together with a selection of finest Scottish soaps. All bedrooms benefit from Egyptian cotton bed linen.
The lounge & dining room has ample space for the whole group to relax and catch up. A large LCD TV with full SKY Movies, Sports & Music channels and DVD player satisfies those looking to switch off - bring your games console for hilarious family fun! With central ceiling lights, wall lights and ceiling spot lights any atmosphere can be created. The sliding sash windows to the front and rear give light whatever the time of day.
In the kitchen cooking for large groups is easy in this kitchen, with generous proportions and all the amenities to hand you will want for nothing.
It's easy to settle in to your relaxing break at Culzean, especially with the added benefits of a real Cedar wood Hot-tub and traditional Scandinavian Sauna. These facilities are a huge hit with all age groups and the health benefits are endless. The Hot-tub has an array of hand jets, body jets, neck jets, also adjustable flow and directional jets, and with his & hers shuttle seats and loungers no one misses out.
The views from the south-facing decking area at the self catering holiday accommodation are spectacular, giving stunning uninterrupted views of our Red Deer Park and the glorious Argyll Forest Park beyond. The kids will love feeding the Deer from here as well. Potatoes, carrots, bread, apples, all these are safe to be hand-fed to our Deer.
The Scandinavian Sauna comes complete with complimentary Eucalyptus oils throughout the duration of your stay and is available to use at your discretion. With seating for 12 this is a great place to relax with friends in the evening for a chat. Again, the health benefits speak for themselves.
Local AreaThe city landscape of Glasgow transforms to lochs, sea, mountains, forests and castles. Dunoon is the main town in the area with a prominent seaboard, and has been a popular holiday spot since the 1800's. Once there, it is hard to believe you are less than 1 hour away from Glasgow. The most popular place to visit in Cowal is the Castle House Museum , detailing the history of the area from ancient times to the present day. Dunoon and Cowal offers plenty wide open spaces on land and sea. It is an area for both the outdoor enthusiast as well as those who would like to try an active pursuit.
