Abernant House

Our beautiful country house is spacious and comfortable, with seven bedrooms four reception rooms and a large kitchen diner. There are lovely seating and communal areas which are great for get-togethers and celebrations for families and friends. The drawing room is cool and airy in the summer and warm and cosy with a log fire in the colder months.

The well equipped kitchen includes:

Four oven Aga.
Large fridge/freezer and integrated wine cooler.
Communal refectory table seating 14.

We can even arrange for a private 5* chef to prepare a special celebration meal, which can be served in the more formal dining room which seats up to 16.

The seven bedrooms are large and airy with comfortable beds and quality bed linen.

Bedrooms are configured:

Five super king-size bedrooms.
Two twin bedrooms each with two single beds.
The largest double room can be made up with a further two single beds.

Some of the super king-sized beds can be split into singles, and the beds in one twin room can be zipped together, giving some flexibility in sleeping arrangements.

Five bathrooms (two with showers).

The large garden with lovely views across the Wye valley is perfect for relaxing or playing energetic ball games. The swing hanging from the majestic Copper beech is always popular.

A stone-built BBQ overlooks the fields and is the perfect setting for al fresco dining.

Customer Reviews

Angela:
We had a brilliant time. Everything was great again. it’s definitely home from home now!! One of our favourite ever places to meet up as a family. You’ll be hearing from us again soon.

Matt:
We had a lovely weekend. The kids loved the space and the gardens and the weather was kind so had a great BBQ on Saturday. The feel of the house is lovely as it does feel like a home rather than a holiday let. This added to its charm and our party overall were very impressed. One guest said it reminded them of an Italian Chateau they had stayed in (the dining room). The offset of the bedrooms on the top floor also meant that no-one felt on top of each other.

Jackie:
Many thanks for our lovely stay - we loved the house - it’s a very tranquil spot. You must be very proud to own such a beautiful place. We would very much like to return next year.
