The Hillside and The Woodside Log Cabins are an idyllic retreat of 12 acres surrounded by spectacular scenery in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Whether you stay here for the whole of your holiday never getting into your car or use our central location as a base to explore this beautiful part of Scotland you will have an excellent holiday. We are situated in Strathyre just outside of Callander in Perthshire.

The Woodside

Our Scandinavian style log cabin is set in a magical wooded area and is furnished to the highest standards. The property comes with a double and a twin bedroom. Both rooms share a modern bathroom. The living room is perfect for relaxing in and comes with a flat screen TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi system. A well-equipped kitchen has a freezer, fridge and microwave oven. Outside there is a picnic table with seating, ideal for a spot of al fresco dining.

The Hillside

The Hillside log cabin is a traditional wooden cabin that has recently been up-dated, it is a self catered pet friendly cosy log cabin nestled in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This stunning log cabin is set in a magical and enchanting wooded area some distance form the main house (Ardoch Lodge), with private parking. The cabin is furnished and equipped to the highest standards making it cosy and comfortable at any time of year.

Perfect for romantic breaks and family holidays.The south facing views are spectacular with nearby hills, swathed in forest, seen against a background of the more distant rugged peaks of Ardnadave and Ben Vane. Our grounds include a walled garden, a water meadow, lots of grass paths to roam amongst the trees and wildflowers. The river Balvaig forms one of our boundaries which we have fishing rights for.

Visiting Strathyre & Exploring Perthshire

Within the grounds guests can wander the paths through the water meadow, along the river and into the walled garden. For walkers there are loch side paths, forest tracks and munros. For the cyclists there are many trails including Sustran route 7.

Walking straight from the door includes woodland strolls, easy trails, harder hikes and Munros. Ben Shian and Stuc a Choin are on the edge of the village. The cycle track - also a good walking trail - passes our door and goes to Callander to the south along the shore of Loch Lubnaig and to Killin to the north through the magificent Glen Ogle.

Pets are welcome in Hillside cabin but not in Woodside cabin.
