Landrace Cottage offers self catering accommodation in Carlton Miniott near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. We are ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and Dales, as well as the north east coastline. Our holiday cottage can sleep up to 4 people and has been decorated and furnished to a high standard.
Landrace CottageThe living space is open plan with comfortable leather sofas, coffee table, flat screen Freeview TV, DVD player, CD/radio player and an oak dining table with chairs. In the dresser you will find a selection of books, board games and plenty of local information leaflets, maps, walks and places to visit in the area. The cottage is fitted with floor tiles throughout with an oil fired combi boiler which runs hot water and underfloor heating. There is a wood burning stove in the living area for those cooler evenings. All fuel and logs are included in the rental price.
There is a fully equipped kitchen which has solid beach work tops and a Belfast sink. Other facilities include:

Fridge with freezer compartment.
Cupboards filled with all the crockery, pans and dishes you will need.
Our holiday home has 1 double bedroom with en suite shower room & 1 twin bedroom. The en suite shower room has a heated towel rail and complimentary toiletries.
Outside is a large, private gravelled sitting/garden area with open views to the paddock and fields beyond. A set of table and chairs, parasol and barbeque are available for al fresco dining.
A welcome pack is provided with a few necessities for a relaxing start to your holiday.
Visiting Carlton Miniott & Exploring North YorkshireSituated in the picturesque village of Carlton Miniott in a lovely, peaceful location with views over open countryside, the cottage is just two miles from the charming, traditional market town of Thirsk. Thirsk is a traditional market town made famous by author and vet James Herriot. The original surgery has been turned into a museum recapturing the home and working life of the young vet, and is well worth a visit. Outdoor markets are still held in Thirsk on Monday and Saturday.
North Yorkshire is home to beautiful countryside and both the Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales are within comfortable driving distance. The city of York with its wonderful architecture, museums, theatres, restaurants, bars and shops is 25 miles by road or just 20 minutes by train from Thirsk Railway Station which is 1 mile from the cottage.
