Greengate Cottage is a beautiful self catering cottage situated in the heart of one of North Yorkshire’s prettiest villages, Hutton-le-Hole in the North York Moors National Park.

Greengate Cottage is available for rental throughout the year, both for weekly periods and shorter breaks. Greengate sleeps 8 people (2 on Z-beds or sofa bed).

Accommodation

The kitchen in the self catering cottage is fully equipped with a cooker, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc. The kitchen is a very sociable area, separated from the dining room by a large breakfast bar. A stable door leads to the outside.

The lounge has plenty of seating and a games table at one end of the room. There is an open fire, TV and DVD player. There are views into the village from the lounge. The dining room seats eight and is open to the kitchen. A highchair is also provided.

The holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 with king size bed.
Bedroom 2 with two single beds.
Bedroom 3 with king size bed.
Playroom with sofa bed and two Z-beds.

There are three bathrooms at the self catering cottage:

Family bathroom upstairs with bath and separate shower.
Wetroom on the ground floor with a shower and WC.
Cloakroom with a third WC.

The cottage benefits from a playroom that has direct access to outside and also has a wetroom. The playroom comes with two Z-beds which can be moved to any room in the house.

There is a TV and DVD player. The room is ideal for younger members of the family who may want some independence.

There is an open fire with a basket of logs ready for your arrival. There is a travel cot, high chair and stair gate should they be needed at no extra cost. The cottage has two sets of staircases, ensuring very flexible accommodation and great hide and seek games for younger visitors.

Visiting Hutton-le-Hole & Exploring North Yorkshire

The village of Hutton-le-Hole offers a great local inn, the Ryedale Folk Museum, tea shops and craft shops. There is a tennis court available for hire, a pétanque pitch a squash court further along the road. There are fantastic opportunities for lovers of the great outdoors with walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding all within very easy reach.

Kirkbymoorside, the local market town, is only 3 miles away. it has a good range of shops and amenities including five pubs, a choice of restaurants, cafes, fish and chip shops, bakeries, a newsagent, pharmacy, supermarkets, hardware store and antique shops, as well as a golf course.

Ryedale offers colourful local markets, famous abbeys, castles, stately homes, steam trains, theme parks and some exceptional museums. Also, many fine old country pubs and inns serve tasty home-made meals, classic Sunday roasts, fish and chips and a remarkable range of real ales.

To the east of Kirkbymoorside is Pickering, which offers a swimming pool, cinema, a castle, a trout fishery, antique shops, and is the home of the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway – a ‘must-do’ journey through breathtaking Yorkshire scenery on a steam train.
