Walnut Cottage offers wonderful self catering accommodation between the quaint villages of Burnham Market and Stanhoe, nestled in the small hamlet of Muckleton. We are near Brancaster and are perfect for a tranquil break in Norfolk.

Accommodation

Our tastefully furnished cottage sleeps up to 5 people, great for a family or group getaway. A range of facilities are available to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

A cosy sitting room is perfect for relaxing and socialising in. Facilities include comfortable leather sofas either side of a large, beamed fireplace housing an electric style wood burner, a TV and a DVD player. This makes a great space for unwinding with a morning coffee whilst enjoying views of the paddock.

The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances for home cooking: washing machine, tumble drier, fridge/freezer and ceramic electric cooker/oven, dishwasher and microwave. Enjoy relaxing around the dining table which seats 5 people.

The main bedroom has a pine double bed with fitted cupboards overlooking the pasture and has an en suite shower and WC. Bedroom 2 has a pine double bed, dressing table and fitted cupboard, whilst bedroom 3 a single bed with pine chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Downstairs there is also a bath, shower and WC.

Outside there is a large, enclosed garden with off road parking for 2 cars and a boat (approx. one-quarter of an acre). A delightful, paved patio area has an outside table, chairs, sun lounges and Webber BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Visiting Burnham Market & Exploring Norfolk

We are only a short distance from some beautiful beaches and fabulous bird-watching areas. Only 5 minutes away is Burnham Market, home to a butcher, fishmonger, bakery, off-license, post office, bookshops, art galleries and much more. A lovely farmers' market is held on the first Saturday of every month at Creake Abbey. The village also has a great selection of restaurants and pubs. Brilliant attractions to visit include:

Sandringham Estate.
Holkham.
Wells-next-the-Sea.
Dinosaur Park.
