The Steading at Hearthstanes Estate in Tweedsmuir, Biggar in Lanarkshire, offers wonderful self catering accommodation in a stunning location. The estate covers several thousand acres of wild, unspoiled open hills and forests along both sides of the upper reaches of the renowned River Tweed, making us a truly idyllic location.
AccommodationWe offer excellent holiday homes in a range of traditional stone farm buildings which can accommodate up to 12 guests in 3 separate courtyard cottages. Flat 2 sleeps four (2 bedrooms, bathroom, living-room with dining area, and kitchen), Flat 2 sleeps six (2 bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms, living-room with dining area, and kitchen), Flat 4 sleeps two (1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living-room with dining area, and kitchen). All the bedrooms can be made as either 2 singles or 1 super king.
For the 2021 season we will have washer/driers in all cottages, a hydropool and new function room.
All the properties include fully equipped kitchens and all the properties are tastefully furnished, ensuring you have the most relaxing stay possible.

Local AreaThere is wide range of activities on the farm and the surrounding area. Sika and roe deer stalking with professional guides, fishing, hiking, biking and 9-pin bowling are possible on the Estate
