Garden Cottage & The Granary at Benhall Farm offer self catering accommodation set in glorious Herefordshire countryside in Wilton just outside Ross-on-Wye on them banks of the River Wye. It is a perfect location to enjoy a break from the pressures of everyday urban life and is well situated for touring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Welsh borders & the Malverns. Close by are Goodrich Castle and Symonds Yat Rock.

Accommodation

We have 2 self catering properties available both of which are furnished & decorated to a high standard with many little extras to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

At the self catering properties there is the garden to sit & relax in, and a farm wildlife walk on the banks of the River Wye.

The Garden Cottage:

This self catering accommodation was originally built as an Estate office around 1800. Situated in the farmhouse garden it enjoys marvellous views across the countryside to Ross-on-Wye. The Cottage has a living room with Freeview television/DVD player and fully equipped kitchen (electric cooker, fridge and microwave) with natural slate floor and a dining room.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed (as a single bed can be added) with pine furniture with a bathroom en-suite complete with bath and electric shower. The holiday cottage has full central heating and electric and linen are included. All that is needed to make your self catering stay an enjoyable experience.

The Granary

This former granary with original exposed beams has been tastefully converted into a studio apartment which sleeps 2 people.

The open plan granary comprises of one large room with an adjoining shower room which is furnished to a high standard with a double bed, armchair, settee, pine table and chairs and a Freeview television/DVD player. Fresh linen is also provided in the self catering accommodation and the kitchen area is very well equipped to help make your self catering stay as relaxing as possible. Full central heating.

Visiting Wilton & Exploring Ross-on-Wye

The River Wye forms the eastern boundary of the farm, providing an opportunity for excellent fishing (by arrangement) and relaxing walks. For those wishing to take exercise, there are also opportunities for canoeing, cycling and golf nearby.

Within easy reach are Goodrich Castle, Symonds Yat Rock, Monmouth, Hay-on-Wye, and Hereford with its Cathedral & Mappa Mundi. There is walking, canoeing, golf, horse racing, and many castles & museums close by.
