Brackenbury Cottage is a self catering holiday home, located in a pretty part of Gwynedd, in the village of Beddgelert. Our holiday cottage is a Grade II listed cottage, that was once a former copper minerís home. It overlooks the village green and is only a 2 minute walk from the centre of the village.
Our holiday cottage is also pet friendly and thereís no extra charge for them to stay. Access is from the rear, where there is outside parking for two cars, through a sheltered back garden.

FacilitiesAs this is our family holiday cottage, it contains many of the things that you'd expect to find in full time home. Central heating is by oil-fired boiler which also heats the water, with back-up from an electric immersion heater.
Microwave, slow cooker, automatic washing machine, kettles (upstairs and downstairs), iron and ironing board. Crockery, cutlery, etc. for six people.
There is a TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi radio/record/cassette player. There is a CD player in the living room, plus a portable CD player. There is a varied library of books and a selection of DVDs and CDs.
The spare folding bed and inflatable mattress can be used either upstairs or downstairs, but they're only advisable for short stays.
There is an Acorn stair lift linking the ground and first floors.
Telephones are located in various rooms - they operate on an 'honesty box' principle. The mobile phone signal in the locality is patchy, but unlimited free Wi-Fi is provided.
Linen & beddingSheets and pillowcases are provided for weekly bookings only. For shorter bookings bring own bed linen. Bathmats are provided upstairs and downstairs plus 1 tea towel and 1 hand towel in the kitchen. For all visitors, please bring own bath towels.
There are NO duvets - pillows, blankets, eiderdowns and bedcovers are provided for the beds. Pillows only for the folding and inflatable beds - bring own sleeping bags. Coal and wood for the open fire are not included in the basic charge but can be obtained from the village shop.
Local AreaBeddgelert is a very picturesque village set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery largely owned by the National Trust. The village shop is comprehensively stocked and is within easy walking distance of the cottage, as is the Post Office, church, various pubs, hotels, restaurants and gift shops.
