Les Fries Barn & Les Petits Fries offers fantastic self catering accommodation in Castel, just a short walk from the gorgeous sandy beach at Cobo Bay. Our two properties are perfect for an idyllic getaway in Guernsey.

Accommodation

Each property sleeps 4 adults in 2 bedrooms and comes with an array of facilities to suit all your needs. They include personal sitting areas and you can see free-range chickens in the field on the side of the property, plus the occasional cow to complete a truly authentic rural experience. There is shared access to a lawn at the front, great for a slightly uneven croquet lawn or simply relaxing on. Both properties also have use of a luxurious hot tub to soak your troubles away.

Les Fries Barn

This award-winning 15th Century barn is perfect for a magical break in a scenic setting. The charming open plan sitting room/dining area comes with a delightful balcony that overlooks it. A large master mezzanine bedroom comes with a king-size bed, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. A second bedroom off the main level has a double and a single. Extra children under 12 can be put up in a z-bed in the downstairs bedroom, plus a futon bed upstairs on the mezzanine floor. The fabulous bathroom has a magnificent cast iron bath and a modern shower.

A toasty wood-burning stove will keep you warm in the winter months and facilities include Freeview TV, a DVD player, CD player, plus lots of books and information on the local area. A well-equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a Belfast sink, granite worktops, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, washing machine, electric hob and oven.

Les Petits Fries

This stunning cottage offers the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Downstairs there is a cloakroom and a WC. A relaxing open plan living area comes with comfy seating with a smart TV and a wood-burning stove for the winter months. French doors open onto a south-facing patio, a great spot for al fresco dining. A second small patio area is nestled in a wild area. A fully equipped kitchen comes with an Everhot electric stove, fridge freezer, a microwave, toaster and a dishwasher.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms: a king room and a room with a double and a single bed. Additionally, a Z-bed can be used. A bathroom comes with a bath and a separate shower, as well as underfloor heating.

Visiting Castle & Exploring Guernsey

The island is a haven for walkers, with the south coast offering miles of picturesque coastal paths. You can also enjoy walking inland in the beautiful countryside or ride along one of the many cycle routes. Head to Castle Cornet, a famous landmark with museums and gardens or visit Victor Hugo’s house which now houses a fascinating museum. Further attractions to visit include:
