North End FarmhouseOur beautiful farmhouse overlooks the lake and is perfect for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. The property enjoys views of the lake and rolling countryside.
The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 people in 6 bedrooms. Upstairs there are 3 doubles, 1 twin and a 4 bedded room. A downstairs bedroom comes with 2 orthopaedic single beds that can be pushed together with an adjacent wet room. One en suite room is available and there are 2 further family bathrooms.
The well equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances: gas fired 2 oven 2 hob Aga and a large gas range with electric ovens. The dining table seats 14 comfortably and is made by renowned local craftsman, James Verner, with Olive Ash from the farm. We boast two sitting rooms and a snug with an inglenook fireplace and a wood burning stove. A great hall comes with a large stone mantled Tudor fireplace with an open fire and a hidden stone spiral staircase.
The Old Cricket PavilionThis charming property comes with its own enclosed garden and sitting out area with a BBQ. Ideal for al fresco dining. The property enjoys glorious views. The double sofa bed means that the Old Cricket Pavilion will sleep 3/4. If booked with the Farmhouse, then 17 guests +infants can be accommodated at North End Farm. The living/dining area comes with a wood burner, Freeview TV and sofa bed. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom comes with a king size bed.
The Old DairyOur wonderful property come with a lovely open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The living area comes with comfy seating and a wood burner and the kitchen is equipped with a range of appliances to suit all your needs. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and outside there is a delightful seating area. We are currently in the final stages of renovating the Old Cider House. The Cider House alone comprises upstairs 2 double bedrooms (1 en suite), a bunkbed room, and shower/toilet room. Downstairs there is 1 living/kitchen. dining area, a wet room with a loo and a snug with a sofa bed. Combined, the Dairy/Cider house will have upstairs 3 double rooms (1 en suite), 1 bunk room, 1 family bathroom, 1 en suite (already mentioned) and a shower loo room). Downstairs it will have a snug, 2 x kitchen diner living rooms and a wet room. The Cider house is ready from June 2019.
North End Farm CabinOur new glamping cabin offers that added bit of luxury compared to camping. Inside there is a bed, dining area and wood burner. The cabin also has use of a shower. Outside there is a seating area. We also have 3 other glamping units on the farm. They are a large railway carriage, a small railway carriage and horse drawn Gypsy cart.
We also have a beautiful thatched barn that can be used by arrangement for private functions – please enquire for details.
Visiting Chideock & Exploring DorsetLots of wonderful attractions are available nearby. Bovington with its famous Tank Museum, the Swannery and gardens at Abbotsbury, children's entertainment at Crealy and Monkey World, and a host of fine houses and gardens open to the public. Bustling resorts like Lyme Regis, West Bay and Weymouth, all offering a wide range of seaside holiday activities, are within easy reach. Whilst inland towns such as Dorchester, Sherborne and Bridport, offer a mixture of history, culture and charm.
