Coachman's House is a charming two-bedroom home situated in the heart of Coniston, within the breathtaking Lake District National Park. Surrounded by some of the most stunning landscapes in the country, this area is home to England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike, its deepest lake, Wastwater and more than 20 other lakes, along with countless tarns, waterfalls and dramatic scenery at every turn.
Every detail of Coachman's House has been thoughtfully considered to create a space that is as comfortable as it is stylish. The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen designed to make you feel at home while cooking. You’ll find everything you need, including an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle and a Bose Bluetooth mini music system. WiFi is available throughout the house.
The kitchen leads to a bright, elegant first-floor sitting room with dual-aspect views of the surrounding countryside. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with a good book or enjoy a drink by the traditional log burner. A smart HD TV, DVD player and a bookcase stocked with books and films provide entertainment for quieter evenings. Behind the bookcase lies a secret doorway that opens into a second lounge and a snug, an inviting space to curl up next to another log burner and enjoy a film or a binge-worthy series. This cosy room also includes a Smart HD TV.
The master bedroom is designed with comfort in mind, featuring a king-size bed with luxurious linens, a decorative Victorian fireplace and a roll-top bath. The en-suite includes a shower and WC and guests are provided with fluffy towels, dressing gowns and indulgent Bath House toiletries. There’s also a small TV for your convenience.
On the second floor, the loft-style bedroom is a peaceful retreat with a skylight perfect for stargazing. Like the master, it features a king-size bed, luxury linens, towels and dressing gowns. The shower room and WC for this bedroom are located on the first floor, just off the snug. This bathroom includes a large shower cubicle, WC, heated towel radiator, luxury towels and more Bath House toiletries.
Outside, the sheltered terraced garden is surrounded by mature woodland and offers views of the fells, providing a tranquil setting for breakfast, reading, or evening barbecues. The cottage has private parking for one large vehicle and also includes a secure, stone-walled stable with space for up to four bicycles—perfect for those keen to explore the area on two wheels.
