Summary

Salutation Yard offers self catering accommodation located in the small of Skelton near the market town of Penrith in Cumbria. There are a total of three self catering cottages that have been converted from farm building to provide high quality accommodation.

Accommodation

East Byre spreads over two floors and sleeps up to 6 people. There is a ground floor bedroom with zip link beds meaning it can be two single beds or a super king size bed. The other bedrooms are located on the first floor and comprise of one zip and link which can be a single or super king room and the master bedroom with a king size bed.

There is an open plan living/kitchen/dining room that offers everything you will need for a self catering break. The living room has three leather sofas meaning there is plenty of room for six guests. The ground floor is accessible for part-time wheelchair users.

West Barn sleeps up to 5 adults and 2 children and is also spread over two floors. There is a ground floor bedroom that has a set of shorter bunk beds and a single bed, and two bedrooms are on the first floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the final bedroom has zip link beds meaning it can be two singles or a super king size.

There is a large living area with flat screen TV, leather sofas and an electric flame effect fire. The kitchen and dining room are fully equipped offering everything you will need to cook a delicious meal.

South Byre sleeps up to four people and is all located on one floor. This self catering accommodation is perfect for couples as well as smaller families. The master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has a zip link bed meaning it can be two singles or a super king size.

There is a cosy living room with comfortable seating and dining table seating four people. The kitchen is fully equipped offering everything you will need.

The holiday cottages offer the same features and facilities including an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, cutlery, crockery and a range of cooking utensils. The living areas all offer comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and a log effect fire.

Visiting Skelton & Exploring Cumbria

The village of Skelton has a village pub, which is within walking distance from the cottages. Here you can enjoy great food and drink. There are many things to do in the local area including walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, golf and much more.

Guests can visit the Whinlatter Forest Park which is England's only true mountain forest that offers spectacular views of the Lake District.

Aira Force in Ulswater is one of the most famous waterfalls in The Lake District. Aira Force provides a glimpse of a landscaped Victorian park with dramatic waterfalls, arboretum and rocks scenery.

Rates: From £450 to £800 per week depending on season and unit.
Prices range from cottage for 4 people a week up to all 3 cottages sleeping up to 17 for a week.
Cottages sleep up to 15 adults and 2 children when combined.
Children are welcome.
Pets are allowed by arrangement in West Barn.
