Newholme House offers superb self catering accommodation in the charming village of Cambusbarron. Our stunning Edwardian property in Stirling dates from 1905 and is a great place for hosting Ceilidhs, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, murder mysteries and even a wedding.
Accommodation
Our property sleeps up to 12 adults and 2 children in the main house, whilst the flat can accommodate 4 people. The flat is only rented with the main house and for an additional charge.Inside we have an elegant drawing room and a formal dining room, with both offering a coal/log fireplace and seating for up to 12 people. The spacious room sitting room is perfect for unwinding in and includes a flat-screen TV with Sky satellite TV and coal/log fireplace.
The fully-equipped remodeled kitchen comes with a range of appliances: industrial-size gas range, fridge and dishwasher, country style cabinets, central island and attached table and pine flooring. The pantry houses a drinks fridge, and the utility room has a wash machine and tumble dryer. Downstairs there is also a bathroom with a WC and shower.
Upstairs we have 6 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has 2 twin beds and bedrooms 2, 3 and 5 each have super-king beds that can be made as two twin beds. Bedrooms 4 and 6 both have double beds. Some rooms include washbasins. Upstairs there are 2 shower rooms and downstairs there is a bathroom.
We have delightful gardens to stroll around, including a patio area with garden furniture and a private car park. Our garden is screened by mature trees and there is a pond, rockery, large lawn, vegetable/herb garden, herbaceous border, strawberry frames and patio area with garden furniture.
The Flat
We also have a flat that sleeps up to 4 people in two king-size rooms. One is on the ground floor with a separate WC. Upstairs there is a further bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. The living room is perfect for relaxing in and comes with an L-shaped sofa and a TV.Visiting Cambusbarron & Exploring Stirling
We are in a great spot for discovering all that Stirling has to offer. There are lots of restaurants, shops and Scottish heritage/cultural activities. Stirling is just forty minutes from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Attractions to visit whilst staying with us include:Stirling Castle.
