Summary

Tamarack Lodge offers self catering accommodation located close to the village of Otterford near the town of Chard in Somerset. The self catering lodge was purpose built in 2003 and offer beautiful accommodation with unique character.

Accommodation

This traditionally styled log cabin with extensive views of the delightful Yarty valley was purpose built to provide self catering holiday accommodation for both able-bodied and disabled people and sleeps up to eleven people.

It is very wheelchair friendly and has two of the three double bedrooms on the ground floor and a large ground floor WC/shower-room.

The kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything you will need including an electric hob and oven, microwave oven, fridge with separate freezer compartment and a dishwasher. Open stairs in the lounge area provide access to the loft where the other bedroom is situated. All of the bedrooms are en suite.

The living room offers plenty of comfortable seating along with a large TV with Freeview and a DVD player.

The Shepherd Hut and Glamping Pod provide extra bedroom space for Tamarack Lodge. They are both situated close to the cabin and within the garden. The Shepherd Hut has a double bed and the Glamping Pod two single beds.

Local Area

Tamarack Lodge is situated on a family run beef and sheep farm in the beautiful Blackdown Hills an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the Somerset/Devon border. The self catering lodge is surrounded by stunning countryside that is great for keen walkers. There are also other numerous activities available including cycling, horse riding, golf and fishing.

Guests can visit a wide range of places whilst staying at Tamarack Lodge including the towns of Taunton and Wellington. The Jurassic Coastline and Exmoor Coastline can also be easily reached where there are breath taking views.

Rates: From £750 up to £1395 per week depending on season.
