Kildare is just a 50 minute drive to Dublin, Wicklow, Kilkenny and Meath home of some of Ireland’s great “must see” tourist attractions; however you don’t have to leave Kildare to have fun excitement, fine dining and great shopping experiences.

Kildare or the Thoroughbred County is home to some of the finest stabling yards in Ireland with three race courses on The Curragh, Naas and Punchestown. It is a mixture of thriving Towns with Naas and Newbridge superb shopping areas and the renowned Kildare Village retail outlet nestled beside the beautiful rural paradise of the Japanese Gardens and the world renowned Irish National Stud, home to some of the world’s most famous horses - both have tours and walkways with a cafe and gift shop on site.

For the walkers out there we have the Grand Canal towpaths which take you along stretches of Ireland’s historical waterways. The Grand Canal is also renowned for coarse fishing with good catches of Bream, Hybrids, Pike, Rudd, and Tench with stands at Ballyteague (disable friendly), Robertstown, Digby Bridge and of course Prosperous well renowned for its fishing competitions. The rivers Liffey and Slate are nearby for the more adventurous game fisherman.

Lullymore heritage Park gives and insight to Ireland in the days of famine and Ireland of yesteryear along with guided tours of the infamous and protected Bog lands, but it also has a fun side with a fantastic indoor and outdoor adventure playground for children, train rides, garden walks and a fairy bower for those who can see whispering fairy folk.

Mondello Park, the home of Irish bike and car circuit racing, where one can now book a course on the circuit for the adventurous minded.
Abbey field provides horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting whilst down the road is Buggyworld for off road quad biking and much more and Oakrodge Airsoft provides pellet gun action over woodland terrain.

Newbridge Silver is not only is a world leader in silver with beautiful Jewellery collections along with the traditional silver tableware. It is home to the museum of Style Icons where one can view a collection from some of the worlds most famous Actors and performers; it also boasts an award winning Silver restaurant.

Broomfield Lodge is privately owned and operated by the Moore family whom have been living in the Broomfield area for more than 150 years. The grand lodge is a newly constructed stone and granite Country House located in the green rolling hills of County Kildare just 50 minutes south of Dublin Airport and 2 minutes off the N9 motorway at the Moone junction.

The lodge is also located just 5 minutes from the River Griese Valley. This luxurious 7 bedroom country house, all with private bathrooms was designed to represent an old Victorian Hunting Lodge. The lodge is set up to accomodate large groups such as family gatherings, corporate retreats, hunting/fishing parties, and any other group of people looking for comfortable, modern, and upscale accommodations. The home has a very large, gorgeous gourmet pine kitchen, a tastefully decorated formal dining room that seats 16 comfortably. Seven bedrooms that will accommodate up to 20 people comfortably, and two sitting rooms with open fireplaces in each of them. This exquisite country house is set up for self catering. However, housekeeping and full catering is available upon request.

Beech Lodge Ballindrum is a fully wheelchair accessible stone cottage. It has two bedrooms, one double en-suite and a twin with a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Facilities include, a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, micro wave, pay phone and safe. There are hair dryers, electric blankets and televisions in bedrooms.

The site is elevated and scenic, with garden furniture for your enjoyment.

Beech Lodge is 4 star luxury accommodation which has received a category 4 award in the Failte Ireland Validated Accessible Scheme. Category 4 applies to all wheelchair users including those requiring assistance to transfer to and from the wheelchair e.g. carer/partner.
