About Harbourside Cottage

The cottage has been lovingly restored to offer guests a comfortable stay with all the modern conveniences. Harbourside has a number of nautical items of interest adorning the walls; from old sea charts, unusual driftwood pictures to a locally handmade traditional lobster pot.

The bedrooms; one double and one twin room, are on the ground floor, as is the family bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. There are two storage cupboards, one housing the washer dryer, iron and ironing board and the other storing the beach games, buckets spades, fishing nets and windbreak.

The open plan first floor lounge has comfy sofas and dining area and boasts magnificent views from its floor to ceiling patio doors overlooking the harbour and Farne Islands. These lead out onto a large balcony, where you can enjoy a drink and watch as the sun sets over families of Eider ducks occupying the calm waters of the harbour. A large, feature stone fireplace houses an electric log effect iron stove in the comfortable living room that completes the homely atmosphere of Harbourside, perfect for relaxing in after a day of exploring.

Adjacent to the lounge is a fully equipped, compact kitchen ensuring home cooking is as much an option for guests as dining out at one of the area's many great places to eat.

Situated just yards from the quayside, a sandy beach and many exciting rock pools, Harbourside is perfect for families and couples alike, looking for high quality accommodation in this superb part of the country.

Harbourside Cottage is adjacent to the quayside in the traditional fishing village of Seahouses. Set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are perfect as a base to explore the local area. Harbourside Cottage is ideally positioned for you to access miles of sandy beaches, an abundance of castles, famous gardens, rugged countryside and the many heritage locations Northumberland has to offer including the world famous Farne Islands.
