Summary

Lifeboat House Apartments are attractively situated overlooking Bude's inner harbour, on the upper wharf of the Boating Canal at Bude in Cornwall. The Canal boasts some of the best coarse fishing in the South West and attracts fishermen from all over the country. The Canal is well stocked and maintained by an enthusiastic local fishing association.

About the Apartments

The apartments are just across the road from The Brendon Arms, Bude's excellent Free House, and a short walk to Bude's popular Summerleaze Beach, or the shops. There is ample car parking at your front door.

The four apartments are converted from the original Lifeboat House, and have been compactly designed to sleep 2 - 4 people.

The self catering apartments have an open plan lounge/kitchen diner with a fully fitted kitchen, including cooker, microwave etc. The lounge has a colour television, dining table and chairs, a sofa which converts into a double bed, and arm chairs.

The bedroom either has a double or twin beds. The bathroom has a shower, wash hand basin and W.C. All shower rooms have been re-furbished.

Bird watchers and Nature lovers can enjoy the wealth of wildfowl, and the nearby Bude Marshes Nature reserve.

Visiting Bude & Exploring Coenwall

Bude is a small seaside resort town on the North Cornish Coast close to the Cornwall/Devon border. The growth of Bude in the early 20th century as a resort town was in part due to the arrival of a railway branch line, the Victorian liking for bathing in the sea, and the romance of wild seas and scenery. The Arthurian legend also drew attention to the area around Tintagel, which is a little further down the coast.

Bude has a small fishing industry, and a range of small local businesses, but tourism is the mainstay of the local economy. Bude has a wide range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, and even at the height of the season it offers plenty of variety.

We are close to many attractions and places of interest that are within easy reach by car. This includes:

Clovelly.
Dartmoor.
Padstow.
The Eden Project.
Morwellham Quay.
The National Maritime Museum.
