Accommodation

You’ll be charmed immediately by the Hayloft’s splendid views over the AONB which is the rolling countryside of the beautiful Forest of Bowland - exquisite from the coziness of the log-burner, as on a wild walk over the surrounding fells. Intimate meals may be enjoyed outside at the private terrace, inside overlooking the glorious scenery, or nearby at one of the many excellent local country pubs and restaurants. Privacy, peace, luxury, relaxation, enhanced by great facilities, make this a perfect haven for any couple.

The Hayloft is private independent accommodation, right in the midst of glorious Bowland scenery. It is part of the 16th century Pennine Longhouse which is Laythams, but enjoys its own private entrance, with parking right outside the door, a dedicated outdoor eating area, and a garden for a hearty barbecue or refreshing drink.

Visiting Slaidburn & Exploring Lancashire

Whatever your reason for staying with us, we’ll do our utmost to help you find the perfect activity, trip or venue for your needs. We recommend day trips to Clitheroe or Skipton Castles, where children can play freely on the grounds and learn more about the history of England; visit the Yorkshire Dales for an invigorating family walk; take the whole family horse riding or get closer to nature by taking a guided ride through the Forest of Bowland.

For those who enjoy spending time outdoors we recommend The Gisburn Forest Cycleway which provides some of the best mountain biking in England, located in the North East corner of Lancashire and within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; Gisburn Forest offers fantastic mountain biking with beautiful views and scenery and is only a short distance from our holiday lets.

For keen fishers; Stocks Reservoir - the largest fly fishery in the North West of England, boasts four and a half miles of fishable shoreline and 350 acres of open waters situated at the head of the Hodder Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stocks Reservoir is under an hour’s drive from our accommodation and is the perfect place for a day’s fly fishing.
