Our 3 star self catering holiday home is close to Slaidburn near Clitheroe and is an ideal base for those who want to explore the beautiful unspoilt landscape that this part of Lancashire has to offer.

About Laythams Farmhouse

This 17th Century longhouse has been tastefully converted to provide a traditional, family friendly holiday home sleeping 6 (+4) people.

Facilities and amenities within the house include:
State of the art kitchen.
Games room with pool table.
Large, warm upstairs living room with a cosy open log fire.
BBQ on request.

All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. There is a large double bedroom, medium double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Should you need space for extra guests a double sofa bed is available.

Our beautifully appointed holiday home has use of a walled garden as well as the farm yard which has several seating areas. Guests are also welcome to make use of the BBQ facilities. The walled yard is safe for children and has free range chickens wandering around.

Local Area

No matter the reason for your visit, you can be sure of a relaxing and enjoyable break away. Families who are staying can enjoy day trips to Clitheroe or Skipton Castles, here children can play on the grounds and learn more about the history of England. The Yorkshire Dales are perfect for walkers of all ages and a day exploring the Forest of Bowland is a must.

For those who enjoy spending time outdoors we recommend The Gisburn Forest Cycleway which provides some of the best mountain biking in England, located in the North East corner of Lancashire and within the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; Gisburn Forest offers fantastic mountain biking with beautiful views and scenery and is only a short distance from our holiday lets.

For keen fishers; Stocks Reservoir - the largest fly fishery in the North West of England, boasts four and a half miles of fishable shoreline and 350 acres of open waters situated at the head of the Hodder Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stocks Reservoir is under an hour’s drive from our accommodation and is the perfect place for a day’s fly fishing.
