Orchard Cottage

The luxurious cottage is rated 5 stars by Visit England. The property overlooks a small orchard and sleeps up to four people. There is an open plan living area. The living room has two comfy sofas, log burner and TV with DVD player. A fully equipped kitchen includes everything you will need during your stay: cooker, microwave and full size fridge/freezer. Bedrooms consist of double and twin rooms. Two bathrooms are available: both come with showers and one comes with a bath.

River Cottage

River cottage enjoys a rustic and relaxed atmosphere. The four star cottage comes with a spacious open plan sitting/dining room. The living room includes two comfortable sofas, a log burner, central heating, TV with DVD player and radio. A fully equipped kitchen includes cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. Bedrooms consist of a spacious double room with en suite and a twin room with a separate shower room.

Yew Tree Cottage

The five star rated property is perfect for a romantic break away for two. Nestled near the rear of the farm buildings surrounded by trees, it has two seating areas to enjoy the best of the Yorkshire air. The living/dining area includes sofas, a log burner, TV, DVD player and radio. A full equipped kitchen includes a cooker, microwave and full size fridge/freezer. The king sized bedded ground floor room also includes a wooden stair ladder to the upper mezzanine level; a unique room to make your own, read a book or to use as a workspace.

People can bring their dogs as there is accommodation for them in a warm, well ventilated building next to the cottages. They can also bring their horse as there is stabling and grazing with lots of bridle ways and rides nearby.

Visiting Saltmarshe & Exploring East Yorkshire

Salmarshe is the perfect base for exploring the local area. For those people who enjoy history, there are museums in York Hull and Scunthorpe and towns which are within easy travelling distance. There are also beautiful stately homes in the area: Castle Howard, Harewood House, Sledemere House and Burton Agnes to name but a few. People can shop to their hearts' content in the very accessible towns of York, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Harrogate and Beverley and there are lots of lovely old market towns nearby such as Howden.

Golfers can play at one of the several clubs to be found locally and for polo enthusiasts. There are two recently formed clubs 15 minutes away by car. The 'Farm Stay' is suitable for country lovers as well as those who like historic houses, places of interest, shopping expeditions and the sea. The coast is 45 minutes away.
