Watermouth Cove Cottages near Combe Martin offer its guests a choice of 8, pretty holiday cottages that can be hired out individually or all together for a group of up to 40 people. The holiday cottages are set in their own secluded and tranquil grounds that are next door to the 150-year-old Watermouth Castle. They are perfectly situated halfway between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe (in the village of Watermouth) and are only 200 yards from the sea.

The Holiday Cottages

They comprise of the former coach house and stables of the castle, enclosed in their own courtyard, with a beautiful garden at the rear. Watermouth Cove Cottages provide self-contained, comfortable and well-equipped self catering holiday homes.

The cottages all feature full cooking facilities with ample crockery, a fridge [Smugglers Cove has a fridge/freezer] and immensely labour-saving microwaves and dishwashers. There is a laundry room on-site with washing machines and tumble dryer and a public payphone. Each cottage has a television with a DVD player in the lounge. Fresh bed linen is provided do bring your own towels.

This outstanding cottage sleeps 8 in three bedrooms plus a sofa. This is our largest property and is great for a memorable group getaway.

Whether you are looking for a family retreat for 4 or a large group that is perfect for reunions and get-togethers, the Watermouth Cove Cottages have something for all party sizes.

The Cottage Gardens

In the garden are 2 beautiful patio areas with barbecues, for guests staying in Tidesreach, Beachcomber and Sandpiper. Animal lovers will the garden at Watermouth Cove Cottages as it is visited by foxes, rabbits, woodpeckers and jays, together with hundreds of garden birds. Badgers have also been seen late at night. The nearby lake has a multitude of ducks that visit the cottages regularly.

Well-behaved pets are welcome at Watermouth Cove Cottages and the area is rich in footpaths and trails.

Visiting Combe Martin & Exploring North Devon

Within a five-to-ten-minute walk of Watermouth Cove Cottages there is the local pub, The Old Sawmill, which offers real ales and pub grub. Watermouth Cove Yacht Club welcomes our guests to their bar on Friday and Saturday evenings . Within a few minutes drive is an excellent restaurant at the Sandy Bay Hotel, good ales and home-cooked food at Ye Olde Globe in Berrynarbor. Two miles in either direction are the resorts of Combe Martin with The Royal Marine and The Dolphin pub restaurants and The Castle (CAMRA recommended pub). Hele Bay has Hele Billy's which offers good quality home-cooked food.

Ilfracombe has a good variety of pubs and restaurants, including Chinese, Indian, Nepalese and Italian as well as Damien Hirst's Ilfracombe restaurant at 11 The Quay and the excellent restaurant, The Angel.
